Temptation After Elevation
Spiritual growth can be an amazing ride, but it often comes with its share of challenges. Those high moments feel incredible, full of inspiration and positivity. But eventually, life shifts back to a new normal, which can be confusing.
This is what I call "The Temptation After Elevation." You’ll have to decide: will you slip back into old habits, or use what you’ve learned to keep moving forward?
Treat Yourself as a Guest
When we have guests, we go all out to make them feel comfortable—tidying up, cooking great meals, and planning fun activities. But how often do we do those things for ourselves?
Life is a Hike
If you know me then you know that I love nature, traveling, camping, and definitely hiking and backpacking. I’ve been very blessed with the opportunity to do this all over the country over the past few years and the lessons I’ve learned along the way have been paramount. Each one of these experiences has taught me things about myself and about life in a way that I wouldn’t have otherwise understood.
Who Are You?
It’s time to remember who you are. Not who you used to be. Not who you’ve been. Not who someone else wants you be. Not who you wish to become. It’s time to remember who you are, as this is what is available to you now; in this present moment. Who you are is the foundation by which everything else in your life is built upon.
The Uncomfortableness Change
Open yourself to the belief that you are in fact worthy of amazing things and that you do deserve to receive all that you want and hope for out of this life. It’s time to start listening to your friends when they tell you how wonderful you are.
Ground Yourself
Many of us find ourselves feeling a bit overwhelmed and our thoughts scattered, especially this time of year. If this sounds familiar then it’s a sure sign that you’re not completely grounded. So, what is being grounded mean?
Break The Chains
Sometimes when you’ve held on to pain and burdens for so long, the thought of no longer having them can be scary.
Out with the Old in with the New
When you purge your physical space, it creates space within. The space created from one letting go of what no longer serves, will result in releasing some of the pressure one is experiencing at this time.
